Xerochrysum Bracteatum Bot No28 is made from Salmon Gum Burl (Eucalyptus salmonophloia). Xerochrysum Bracteatum is the botanical name for Straw Flowers which grew on my friends farm. The head is made from one of the most unique pieces of Redwood Burl I’ve ever found. Highly mineralized, almost black with small sea worm hole on the live edge that give is the most amazing texture. The eyes are Cholla Cactus with Mother Of Pearl. There is an antique spoon handle on the right arm and mosaic pin inlays made from steel. Bolivian Purple heart accents on the head with Mother of Pearl inlay. This bot is stout and heavy - eleven inches tall and five inches wide., stands on its own.
