Botanical Burl Bot Asteraceae No01 the Brazilian Star Daisy.
The body of this bot was hand crafted from an extremely unique piece of York Gum Burl. I've not seen one with this kind of figure before (it looks like a moon rock). The flowers in its abdomen, arms and leg are Brazilian Star Daisies set within Entropy Bio Epoxy. The head is made from California Curly Claro Walnut which was originally cut and sold with intention of being gun stock. It always feels good to know the precious timber is going to have a more productive and peaceful path. Its right eye was made from Vasticola burl and its left eye was made form yellow box burl. The feet and head were adorned with figured Bolivian Purpleheart that under the right light has an amazing chatoyant iridescence. The inlays are mosaic pins constructed of brass, copper and steel. This bot has an antique fork for its left hand and it forking loves you!
