Botanical BurlBot, The Dreamer No01
This is Botanical BurlBot Leucanthemum x superbum/The Shasta Daisy. The Dreamer No01 is made from Red Mallee Burl found in southeastern Australia. The head is Curly Claro Walnut which was originally cut to be gunstock... Can you imagine this wood being used for a gun? The eyes are made from Redwood Burl found on my local beach with sliced Casuarina pods and Turquoise wrapped in brass . The other inlays are also turquoise wrapped in brass. There is also some purple heart adorning its head and feet. The intent of this Botanical BurlBot is to awaken slumbering imaginations and foster joy.
