Botanical BurlBot, Devil in a bush/ Love-in-a-Mist No01
This is Botanical BurlBot #03. This bot is made mainly from Red Mallee Burl which is found in the south eastern landscape of Australia. Within its abdomen is a Nigella seed pod, sometimes called “Devil in a Bush, love-in-a-mist” . I love all three names. This is held together with Entropy Bio Epoxy. The eyes are Redwood burl with sliced Casuarina Pods with small Turquoise inlays wrapped in brass. The other inlays are mosaic pins comprised of brass, copper and steel—some also have Turquoise that just happened to fit perfect. The head is made from Curly Claro Walnut that was cut with the intention of being gunstock— not on my watch. There is also some Purple Heart on the head and feet. This Botanical BurlBot is an ambassador of love.
