Meet Lauris Nobilis No38. This hand made wooden robot is made from some heavily quilted Lauris Nobilis, aka Bay Laurel, aka, myrtle wood, aka pepper wood. This species is where bay leaves for cooking come from and was rescued from the firewood pile. The heart is one straw flower placed inside of a natural live edge knot hole. The chatoyant rings flow outward like a pebble dropped in a pool of water. The head is English walnut that was destined to be turned into the butt of a rifle. The eyes are pinecones set in casting resin with mother of pearl. The head is adorned with Bolivian purple heart. there are inlays of red jasper stone wrapped in brass. this bot is approximately 10 inches high and stands on its own. This wooden robot is NOT a toy and is meant for indoor display.
